"The CMS Experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider"Dr Daniel Green , Fermi National Accelerator Lab [Host: Brad Cox]
ABSTRACT:
The US is heavily involved in the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS)
experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Colllider (LHC). This new facility is
explicitly designed to successfully search for the Higgs boson and generally
to search for new symmetries of Nature such as Supersymmetry. The status of
the LHC accelerator and the CMS experiment will be discussed as well as
studies of the physics potential of CMS.
