This recently added physics course examines questions relating to energy from a physicist's perspective. Topics include:

  • The physical nature of energy.
  • Sources of energy in our society.
  • Energy in the near future.
  • Energy in the exploration and colonization of space.

This course is ideal for students at all levels who are interested in energy and the physical sciences, but wish to avoid excessive mathematics. Only a basic familiarity with physics at the high-school level is required. Click here for a more detailed discussion of the course.

The course will be taught by
Professor Gordon Cates
