Course Times:
Lecture: TTh, 1400-1515, Room 22, physics building

Lab: Wed, 1-4 p.m., Room 22, physics building.
Final Exam:
The final exam is scheduled for Friday, May 4, 2001 in room 22, 2-5 p.m. You will be permitted to bring one regular sheet of paper with anything written on it that you choose.

Textbooks:Physical Science, A Unified Approach, by Jerry Schad (Brooks/Cole Publishing Co., 1996);
Physics 115 class manual, obtained at UVa bookstore.

Materials that will be needed:

Notebook with gridded paper. Examples will be given in class.
Metric ruler, no more than about 15 cm long.
Electronic calculator.
Homework Assignments:

Students will be expected to work and study outside the classroom. Appropriate sections in the textbook should be read, and reading assignments in the lab manual will be assigned. Some homework problems will be given. We may also assign projects.
