To provide you experiences in experimental aspects of physics education that compliment 241/242. In addition to important physical concepts, you will learn proper techniques and methods to make physical measurements.
Structure of the course:
Before coming to Lab sections:
Read the lab manual carefully. Understand what physical quantities you will be measuring and what physical phenomena the experiment is trying to demonstrate.
Watch lab video.
During the Labs:
Perform the experiment, record numerical data and descriptive observations, keep clear and accurate lab journal.
Perform preliminary data analysis to see whether your data make sense and whether you have done everything right.
