Text: Introduction to Quantum Mechanics (1994)
by D. J. Griffiths
PHYS 356 is the continuation of Quantum I (Phys. 355) for physics majors.
.
PHYS 356 is offered in the spring. It starts with a brief review of quantum
mechanics I, continues with gauge invariance and applications,
scattering theory, perturbation theories, identical particles and WKB
approximation
.
EXAMS: Midterm will be around Wednesday, March 4 at 11 am in Rm 210 Physics Bldg.
Final on day, from to in Rm 210 Physics Bldg.
There are weekly to bi-weekly problem sets counting ~30% towards the grade,
midterm ~30% and final ~40%.
