The best way to learn about our department is to visit. We welcome visitors at any time, although over winter break (roughly December 15 to January 15) many faculty and students are not available.

If you would like to schedule a visit, contact grad-info-request@physics.virginia.edu. Let us know what you are interested in, and we will arrange a schedule of lab tours and give you a chance to meet with a few of our current students.

If you don’t have a chance to visit on your own, we invite all the domestic applicants that we admit to come visit at our expense, typically in March. Further details will be provided with your admission information. Unfortunately, we cannot generally extend this offer to overseas students.
